  • The Kitchen is not a traditional restaurant, although we are a food-oriented space and passionate food enthusiasts. We primarily host private events, although we do host public events that are open to the community. You can join us for a public Participatory Dining Experience, which requires an advanced reservation.

    Our staff work in the space Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and is available for questions during this time.

  • No, The Kitchen does not offer formal cooking classes and you will not be taught specific techniques or how to prepare a full meal in our Participatory Dining Experiences. Instead, you and other guests will prepare one portion of a larger meal in our communal kitchen. Once all cooking is complete, you will sit down to enjoy your meal together.   • Yes! The Kitchen and The Studio have parking available across the street from our building at the Livingston United Methodist Church parking lot located at 200 E. Livingston Avenue. Please view our parking map for more information.

  • Tickets to our public events are non-refundable. Please contact us directly for any changes to your reservation.

  • Yes, with advance notice, we will make our best effort to accommodate your dietary needs so that you can cook and enjoy the food you love the most. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly with any dietary concerns.

  • If you can dream it, we can (most likely) do it. Our two event spaces are your blank canvas, with flexible floor plans and menus to accommodate your party size and event needs. Contact us today to share your vision and let our staff help plan your event.

  • Due to the wide variety of events we offer, our catering menus are not available online. Please contact us directly with your event vision, and we’ll be happy to share our catering menus.

  • The Studio is our event space located right next door to The Kitchen. Since its grand opening in 2018, it has been perfect for more intimate special gatherings. The Studio hosts a variety of public events and is best suited for private boutique celebrations. Learn more about the space here.

  • Yes, you must reserve a spot to attend a public Participatory Dining Experience. We divide the menu and cooking needs for the evening based on the total number of attendees. This ensures that everyone gets the full experience they are looking for and dinner can be served at a reasonable time frame.

Columbus Cooking Class
  • You can expect a Participatory Dining Experience to last between 3.5 and 4 hours (roughly 2 hours of cooking and 2 hours of dining) depending on the theme and the complexity of the menu. We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and to view a sample event for more information about the experience. View a sample event for more information on the experience and what to expect.

  • Most of our public events are adult-oriented, however, please check our calendar for those that might be child-appropriate. You are also welcome to host your own private dining experience where kids are more than welcome to join in!

  • On average, our public dinner parties can accommodate up to 40 guests. Participatory Dining Experiences can also be reserved on a private basis for 10-50 people and are commonly booked for corporate team-building, birthday parties, wedding events, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and more. Inquire about our Team Bonding Activities that are designed for larger groups of 60-100 guests.

  • We offer a full bar featuring local and domestic beers, a variety of wine, and both classic and signature cocktails and mocktails.

  • Yes, click here to purchase a printable gift certificate. Gift Certificates will be emailed to your inbox ready for printing.

    We also have wine, cookies, aprons, and more for sale on our Online Store.

  • Due to our food and liquor licenses, all food and beverages must be purchased through The Kitchen. However, we do allow cakes and desserts to be brought in from an outside vendor.
