KITCHEN LEAD — FULL TIME

The Kitchen Lead will be responsible for the executing culinary events and managing aspects of kitchen supervision. The position scope includes menu preparation and execution, adhering to event menu details and timelines, and upholding brand standards. Additional responsibilities include food handling safety & sanitation protocols, recipe management, managing plating aesthetics, portion control, and food waste. The Kitchen Lead position will feel comfortable demonstrating leadership among The Kitchen team members and clients, addressing large groups of guests at a Participatory Dining Experience, and efficiently executing opening/closing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities and includes benefits such as:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with a Sous Chef or kitchen management position

  • Wide base of food knowledge, food safety, products and techniques

  • Exceptional customer service with attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent time management and work ethic with flexible availability

  • Active ServSafe (food) & eTips (beverage) Safety Certifications (or willingness to obtain)

EVENT CAPTAIN — PART TIME

The Event Captain is responsible for most aspects of day-of-event coordination and supervision of FOH members for The Kitchen & The Studio. The scope of this position includes adhering to planned details of event operations, and attending Leadership meetings. Event Captain shifts are required for days, nights, weekends & occasionally will require supporting dropped shifts in cases of emergencies. The Event Captain is a steward of The Kitchen brand which includes manages the details & embraces the big picture, loves the event, finds their way to ‘yes’, follows through with pride, asks ‘the question’ & upholds a One Team, One Dream work culture.
